Debianise Me!

Want to make antiX 100% Debian and/or want to remove the MEPIS components? Just follow these steps.

1. Install a Debian kernel and its headers from the repos. (Alternatively use a liquorix one - recommended)

2. As root update-grub so new kernel appears in boot grub menu.

3. Reboot into new kernel.

4. Install video drivers (if needed) and check all is ok with the new kernel.

5. Comment out Mepis repos in /etc/apt/sources.list (if it isn't already)

6. # apt-get purge mepis*

7. # apt-get autoremove

8. # apt-get update & apt-get dist-upgrade

9. # apt-get purge firmware-linux-free firmware-linux-nonfree libqt*

10. # COLUMNS=200 dpkg -l |grep ^rc |awk '{print $2} ' | xargs dpkg -P

11. # update-grub
