By default, antiX uses the root window and does not set a desktop. It can be toggled from the fluxbox or icewm menus - WM's>Rox>Pinboard.<br />

To make it permanent, right click the ~/.fluxbox/startup or ~/.icewm/startup file >open as text> and uncomment the 'rox' line to read: <br />

As from '''antiX-M8.5''', Rox desktop can be automatically booted into by adding the cheatcode '''Rox''' at the boot grub menu in livecd/liveusb/frugal mode. If you then install to hard drive, the Rox desktop will be preserved.<br />
